Abstract

Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) has been described as a novel coronavirus causing a pandemic of the novel corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19). It is highly contagious and the main transmission way is respiratory droplets and close contact with contaminated surfaces. The aerosol generating procedures caries additional risk for healthcare workers. Since endotracheal intubation is a vulnerable procedure for aerosol generation, the airway manangement of suspected or confirmed COVID-19 patients is high risk to staff and patient In this review we aimed to highlight the important points for the safe and effective endotracheal intubation procedure for suspected or confırmed COVID-19 patients.
